In most office jobs, the Internet is used all throughout someone’s day. I don’t think any of us can even imagine a world without having any Internet access, whether it is for work purposes or just simply browsing during leisure time. During work however, most people get tempted to start using their work computers for personal use. Such as checking personal emails, having a look at social media websites or going on chat. For most people it is just a bad habit; those people cannot go eight hours without having to check what is going on in their friend circle. This can cause many damages in the workplace. Using the company’s computer for personal use can get you in a lot of trouble with the company. Many websites are filtered out and most of the time your Internet use is being tracked by the minute. Even emails you receive and send are scanned in some cases. I have posted an article below that states 5 other ways your computer use at work can get you fired. These tips will definitely help someone who wants to continue working for a certain company. Even if your company allows you to use the computers for company use, always keep it to a minimum.
